While creating a bespoke Virtual Reality training application for Pathways to Work, we needed accurate facial animations so we turned to Reallusion.

Reallusion has issues with their characters and HQ shaders (we have not tested the other shader systems they use as we went for the best).

All was good and looking great, but we had an issue with our graphics card pushing so much data through to the headset so we chose Forward Shading in the Unreal preferences which got us a few more frames but by doing so, the shaders for the clothes of the characters became transparent (see-through, weird opacity).

To fix this without going into too much detail, change the Opacity in the affected materials to 2 from the default of 1.

Image 1 shows the issues.

Image 2 shows the fix.

Good luck and send us an email to tell us about your awesome project, or get in touch if you would like to discuss anything further @ info@scenegraphstudios.com
