Creating a MetaRoman utilising facial tracking software combined with Unreal Engine 5 and MetaHuman was a great experience.
We created a Roman character body, took a male head from MetaHuman and combined them together.
Custom body animations were added based on the audio of the actor’s performance.
Utilising facial tracking software, we tracked the actor’s facial performance, and modified the bits which needed more emphasis; for example larger open eyes, slight smiles, and stronger brows to make the performance come alive in a digital form.
The results came out great… and the clients are really happy with the end results, from a single 3 minutes face video, to a fully animated MetaRoman 3D performance.
